Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of Posty and the content you publish through it. It applies to all users and supplements our Terms of Service. Violating this policy may result in suspension or termination of your account.

1. Prohibited Content

You must not use Posty to create, store, schedule, or publish content that:

  • Violates any applicable law, regulation, or platform policy (including the terms of Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, Discord, and Facebook)
  • Is defamatory, harassing, threatening, or abusive toward any individual or group
  • Infringes on any third party's intellectual property rights, including copyright, trademark, or patent
  • Contains malware, viruses, spyware, or any code designed to damage or gain unauthorised access to systems
  • Is deceptive, misleading, or constitutes fraud - including impersonating another person, brand, or organisation
  • Promotes or glorifies violence, self-harm, or illegal activity
  • Constitutes spam, unsolicited bulk messaging, or coordinated inauthentic behaviour
  • Exploits or harms minors in any way
  • Contains adult content without appropriate age-gating where required by applicable platforms

2. Prohibited Actions

You must not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, its infrastructure, or other users' accounts
  • Use the Service to conduct denial-of-service attacks or interfere with platform APIs
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide access to the Service to third parties without our written consent
  • Use automated bots or scripts to interact with the Service in a manner that places excessive load on our infrastructure
  • Circumvent rate limits or usage restrictions imposed by social media platform APIs
  • Use the Service to collect personal data from third parties without their consent

3. Platform API Compliance

Posty integrates with third-party social media platforms via their official APIs. You are responsible for ensuring your use of Posty complies with the terms of service of each platform you connect, including but not limited to:

  • Meta Platform Terms (Instagram and Facebook)
  • TikTok for Developers Terms of Service
  • LinkedIn API Terms of Use
  • YouTube API Services Terms of Service
  • Pinterest API Terms of Service
  • Discord Developer Terms of Service

We reserve the right to suspend your access to specific platform integrations if your use endangers our API access or violates platform policies.

4. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any content or activity on Posty that violates this policy, please report it to support@posty.social. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.

5. Enforcement

We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations of this AUP. Depending on the severity, we may:

  • Issue a warning
  • Remove or disable specific content
  • Suspend or terminate your account
  • Report activity to relevant authorities where required by law

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
