How to manage multiple social media clients
Here is how to manage multiple social media clients without posting to the wrong account or losing track of who approved what: give each client a separate space, collect what you need up front, agree how they sign off, run every client on the same weekly rhythm and report on each one separately.
Step 1: Give every client a separate space
Keep each client’s accounts, posts, media and conversations apart from every other client’s. Shared logins and one big calendar are how a post meant for one brand ends up on another.
Name each space the way your team refers to the client, and give people access only to the clients they work on.

Step 2: Collect access and brand details up front
Before the first post, gather the brand voice, words to avoid, logos and photos, the people who sign off and access to every account. Ask for it in one form rather than across a dozen emails.
Have the client connect their own accounts through each network’s sign-in. Never ask for passwords: a password sent by email is a security risk, and it stops working the day the client changes it.
Step 3: Agree how each client signs off
Write down, for each client, who approves posts, how much notice they need and who stands in when they are away. Keep it with the client’s onboarding notes so anyone on your team can follow it.
Where the client approves, have your team review first, so the client only sees work you are ready to stand behind.

Step 4: Run every client on the same weekly rhythm
Pick fixed days for the whole agency: one to draft the next batch for every client, one to send it for approval, one to schedule what came back approved. The same rhythm across clients makes gaps obvious and handovers easy.
Plan at least two weeks ahead for each client, so a slow approval never leaves a gap on the calendar.

Step 5: Give your team the access they need, no more
Decide who can draft, who can approve and who can only look, for each client. Freelancers and new starters rarely need every client.
Review access when someone leaves or a client ends, and remove it the same day.

Step 6: Report on each client separately
Send each client a short monthly report from their own accounts: what went out, what performed and what you will change. Keep the reporting period the same each month so the comparison means something.
Answer comments and messages from inside the client’s space, so replies never come from the wrong brand.
What one client workspace costs on each plan
Posty prices each workspace, one per client, so the bill grows with clients rather than with people. Prices in USD.
- Starter
- $29 a month, or $24 a month billed annually, with 1 person and no approval workflow.
- Growth
- $39 a month, or $32 a month billed annually, with up to 10 people and approvals and client approvals.
- Accelerate
- $49 a month, or $40 a month billed annually, with unlimited people and approvals, including your team then the client.
Questions and answers
- How many social media clients can one person manage?
- It depends on how many posts each client needs and how much back and forth their approvals take, not on a fixed number. Track the hours each client takes for a month before you take on another; the weekly rhythm in step 4 makes those hours easy to see.
- Should each client have their own login?
- The client should own their social accounts and connect them to your tool through each network’s own sign-in, so nobody shares a password. If they approve posts, they need their own access to the posts waiting for them, and to nothing else.
- How do I avoid posting to the wrong client’s account?
- Keep every client in a separate space with only their accounts in it, and make people switch spaces deliberately. A single calendar holding every client’s accounts is where a post meant for one brand goes out on another.
- How is Posty priced for agencies with many clients?
- Per workspace, never per seat: Growth is $39 a month per client workspace, or $32 billed annually, and Accelerate is $49, or $40 billed annually. Clients and teammates count towards a workspace’s people rather than adding seats.
- Can clients see each other in Posty?
- No. A client invited with client visibility sees their own workspace only, and within it only the posts that reach them. Your team sees every workspace they have been invited to.
Give your next client a workspace of their own
Create a workspace for each client, send the onboarding form and set each client’s approval rule. Paid plans start with a 7 day trial that needs a card and bills the plan you chose automatically unless you cancel.
