How Google shows your business photos
Your cover photo is 1024 by 576 pixels, 16:9. Google crops it differently in Search and in Maps, so keep the subject in the middle and let the edges carry background.
The logo is 720 by 720 pixels and shows as a circle in Maps. A logo that touches the edges of its square loses its corners, so give it room.
Photos for updates work at 1200 by 900 pixels, 4:3. Google takes JPEG or PNG up to 5 MB. Use your own photos of the place, the products and the people; they are what customers look for.
