Drag a post to a new day and it keeps its time
Every post in the workspace sits on one calendar, from drafts to published. Drag a card to another day and Posty moves it, keeping its time. Posts that are publishing or already out stay where they are, and a scheduled post cannot land in the past, so a drag never does something you did not mean.
- Month, week and day views
- Undated drafts wait in a backlog until you place them
- Click any day to start a post there
Drag a card to another day, or select it and pick the day.
One post, with a version for each network
Write the post once, then adjust it for each network it goes to. Posty counts characters against each network’s limit as you type and adds a first comment where the network accepts one. One approval covers every version, so nobody signs off the same post twice.
- A caption per network from one draft
- Limits checked as you type
- First comment on Instagram, Facebook, Threads, YouTube and Bluesky

Every workspace schedules in its own timezone
Each workspace has a timezone, and its calendar runs on that clock. Set 9:00 for a client in New York and the post goes out at 9:00 in New York, whether the person scheduling it is in Brisbane or London. The whole team sees the same times on the same days.
- The composer names the zone beside the time
- The calendar’s today is the brand’s today
- Clock changes never send a post an hour early
Scheduled in Corner Bakehouse’s clock
Tue 9:00 am
America/New_York, the workspace timezone
- Publishes in New York
- Tue 9:00 am
- Which is, for Priya in Brisbane
- Tue 11:00 pm
- Which is, for Alex in London
- Tue 2:00 pm
Everyone on the team sees Tue 9:00 am on Corner Bakehouse’s calendar, wherever they are.
Move up to 50 posts in one change
Plans change in batches. Select up to 50 posts in the content list and shift them forward or back by whole days, or edit each time, before anything is saved. Posty previews every new date, refuses any that would land in the past and saves the batch in one go.
- Shift by days, forward or back
- Each post keeps its time of day
- Approvals stay exactly as they were
| Post | Status | New time |
|---|---|---|
| Spring range, styled | Scheduled | Thu 27 Aug, 9:00 am |
| Inside the repair workshop | Approved | Thu 27 Aug, 12:30 pm |
| Trail runner kit | Pending Team Approval | Fri 28 Aug, 5:00 pm |
| Store hours this weekend | Scheduled | Sat 29 Aug, 8:30 am |
| Spring hiking checklist | Draft | Sun 30 Aug, 10:00 am |
Every post keeps its time of day and its approval status.
Filter the week and see where every post stands
Every card shows where the post stands, so a gap in the week, a post still waiting on a client or a draft nobody finished stands out. Hide channels to focus on one account, and see who has a post open right now before you start editing it.

How a month comes together
From an empty calendar to a month of scheduled posts, in the workspace’s own clock.
- 1
Set up the workspace
Create a workspace for each brand or client, set its timezone and connect the accounts it publishes to.
- 2
Fill the calendar
Click a day to start a post there, or write drafts into the backlog and drag them onto the calendar when you know when they should go.
- 3
Tailor and review each post
Tailor the caption for each network, add media from the library and, if the workspace requires it, send the post for approval.
- 4
Rearrange as plans change
Drag single posts, or shift up to 50 at once. Scheduled posts publish at their time in the workspace’s timezone.

Compare every plan in fullQuestions about the content calendar
- What does social media content calendar software do?
- It puts every planned, waiting and published post on one calendar, so you can see the month, spot the gaps and move things around before they go out. In Posty the calendar also schedules and publishes the posts, so the plan and the publishing never drift apart.
- Can I reschedule posts by dragging them?
- Yes. Drag a card to another day in month view and it keeps its time of day; in week and day views it takes the time you drop it on. Drag an undated draft out of the backlog and it takes the next open posting slot that day. Posts that are publishing or already published cannot be dragged, and a scheduled post cannot be dropped into the past.
- Can each network get its own caption?
- Yes. A post has one version per network it goes to, so the Instagram caption can carry hashtags while the LinkedIn one reads like LinkedIn. Character counts follow each network’s limit, and approval covers every version at once.
- Which timezone does the calendar use?
- The workspace’s timezone, set in its settings. The calendar and the composer both use that clock, so 9:00 means 9:00 where the brand is, whichever country the person scheduling it is in.
- Can I reschedule many posts at once?
- Yes. In the content list, select up to 50 posts and shift them forward or back by whole days, or edit each time. Posty previews the new dates, refuses any in the past and saves them together. Approval status does not change.
- Can clients see the content calendar?
- Invite them with client visibility and they see the posts waiting for their approval and everything approved, scheduled or published. Drafts and posts still in team review stay hidden until they are ready for them.
- Which plans include the calendar?
- Every paid plan. Starter is $29 a month per workspace for one person; Growth adds approval workflows and up to 10 people; Accelerate has unlimited people and team then client approvals. The Free plan covers Link in Bio only.
