How to choose a Later alternative
- Count your posts in a busy month
- Later counts posts per profile, drafts included, and Planable per workspace. Posty has no post limit, and Buffer and Metricool’s paid plans are unlimited within a fair use policy. Count every post in your busiest month before choosing.
- Decide whether approval must hold a post
- In Later, approval does not stop a scheduled post. Posty’s required approval holds a post until it is signed off, Metricool stops any post a reviewer rejects, and Planable’s required approval starts on Pro.
- Check the inbox and link in bio
- Later’s inbox starts on Growth and covers Instagram and Facebook DMs and TikTok comments. Posty includes an inbox on every paid plan and Metricool on every plan; Buffer replies to comments only. Posty includes Link in Bio, and Metricool includes link in bio pages from Starter.
- Match the networks you publish to

- Can I move my scheduled posts from Later?
- Posty does not import from Later. Connect your accounts to Posty, recreate the posts still scheduled, and remove them from Later so nothing publishes twice.
