Social Media Client Onboarding

Onboard a new client without chasing passwords or briefs

Posty handles social media client onboarding inside each client’s workspace. Send one form that collects the brief, the brand files and the client’s own account connections, then apply the answers you want straight to the workspace.

Clients connect their own accounts, no passwords shared

Add a connect step and the client signs in to each network on that network’s own consent screen. The account lands in their workspace, ready to schedule, and nobody on your team asks for or handles a password.

  • You choose which networks the step offers
  • The network’s own sign-in and consent screen
  • Included with Growth and Accelerate

Connect your channels

Connecting here gives us permission to post for you. We never see or store your password.

In the real form, each button opens that network’s own sign-in and consent screen.

One client onboarding form for the brief, the brand and the files

Build the form from short and long answers, choices, dates, numbers, colour lists, links and file uploads, or start from a ready-made template. Write a template once for the agency and copy it into each client’s workspace, then tailor it to that client.

  • Four templates to start from
  • Uploads for logos, photos and brand files
  • Every link keeps the form the client saw

Clients answer in the browser, at their own pace

The client opens a link with no account or password, and the form saves as they go so they can stop and come back. A question can appear only when an earlier answer calls for it, and Posty reminds them three and seven days after sending by default, until they submit.

  • No client login
  • Questions that appear only when they apply
  • Reminder emails on a schedule you choose

Do you want to change how often we post?

Answers save as you go. No account or password needed.

Turn the answers into the workspace’s settings

Each question can feed part of the workspace: its name and logo, the brand voice, competitors and audience personas, with campaign objectives ready for a new campaign. When the response arrives, tick the answers you want and apply them. Applying again only writes what has changed since.

  • Answers are suggestions until you apply them
  • Untick anything you would rather keep
  • Your team’s later edits are never overwritten

Questions about client onboarding

What is social media client onboarding?
It is everything between a client saying yes and the first post going out: the brief, the brand assets, who approves what and access to their accounts. Posty collects all of it with one form inside the client’s workspace, so nothing lives in an email thread.
Does my client need a Posty account to fill in the form?
No. They open the link you send and answer in the browser, with no account or password. The form saves as they go, so they can stop and come back to it from the same link.
How do clients connect their social accounts?
Through the form’s connect step. Each Connect button opens that network’s own sign-in and consent screen, the client approves access there, and the account lands in their workspace ready to schedule. Nobody shares a password.
Which plans include client onboarding forms?
5 per workspace on Growth, unlimited on Accelerate, with clients connecting their own accounts on both. Starter does not include client onboarding forms. Forms are available to organizations set up as an agency.
Can I reuse the same form for every client?
Yes. Write a template once for the organization, then copy it into each client’s workspace and change what that client needs. Every link keeps the exact form the client saw, so later edits never relabel an old answer.
Where do the files clients upload go?
They upload into the client’s workspace and count towards its storage, like any other file. You choose which file types each question accepts and how many files it takes.
Can I export the responses?
Yes. Export a form’s responses to CSV, each read against the version of the form that client answered.
