Why Instagram removes blank lines
Instagram has been inconsistent with caption spacing for years. Single line breaks usually survive, but empty lines between paragraphs can be collapsed, particularly when a line ends with a space or the caption was pasted from another app. You wrote separate paragraphs and the post shows one dense block.
The workaround is to make the empty lines not empty. The tool puts an invisible character on each blank line. The spacing looks the same, but Instagram now sees text on those lines and leaves them alone.
Use it where it matters. Each invisible character counts toward the caption limit, and screen readers may pause on it. Plain line breaks often work on their own, so check how the caption looks before you rely on the tool for every post.
